The russian DotA 2 team Rox.KIS has been baned for 1 year from all SLTV Series events. Same time, team captain, Solo was banned for lifetime from all SLTV Series.
This decision came as in their last game against zRage, Solo's team suddenly left the game withou any tech problems involved.
Later, the organizers of SLTV series found ou the reason, it seems Solo made a bet against his team on a live money betting site, and his team had to lose, so he decided to pull out his team from the game. The admins found out and decided to ban Rox.KIS for one year, the other member of the team for 3 and Solo for the perpetual ban.

The groups for the upcomming Starcraft 2 tournament at DreamHack Eizo Summer 2013 have been announced, out of the total 32 groups, only few catch an eye at the first glimpse.
For example we have Group 14 with Najzmajs, Sting and PoYo , than there is Group 15 with TargA, SortOf and MaddeLisk, apart from these two the rest have two pro players and two unknown players, but it's not hard to see some upsets.
The sad part is that a bunch of the Korean players such as viOLet, Polt, Symbol, DongRaeGu, SuperNova and monchi, Naama, SaSe, XlorD canceled their participation. To replace them, the organizers have brought in some local players and Life.

It was announced that the guys behind nexon have decided to host a DotA2 tournament.
With a prize purse of $1,700,000 in cash prize this will be the biggest DotA2 tournament Korea has seen so far.
The prize is divided in 4 separate tournaments, the first being Nexon Starter League with t total of $10,000 in cash prize. This event will have it's sign-ups opened on 13'th of June till 23'rd of June.
The other three tournaments are: Nexon Heroes League, Nexon AllStars League and Nexon Sponsorship League. The prize money is yet to be revealed for these three, but they will get the rest out of the big cash.

It was today announced that the XMG protoss player, monchi will have to skip the near future events such as DreamHack Summer 2013, HomeStory CUP 7 and probably the entire second season of WCS Europe due to a complication.
Two years ago he suffered a motocross accident, he underwent surgery, but it seems that there are some complications as his arm got infected. He now need to have yet another surgery, and will have to rest his arm for a long period of time.

The first details for WCS Korea Season 2 were announced at the end of the first season. This time it's KeSpa's turn to host the tournament, OnGameNet will therefor handle the second season of WCS in Korea.
They has already secured a sponsor in Auction.co.kr, and the season will start on 18'th of June. OnGameNet will handle Premier Division, while Gom.Tv will handle the Challenger League ( Code A)
Just as Gom kept the Code S brand for the first season, OnGameNet will use the brand Starleague for the second season.

Last night, first edition for GIGABYTE Pro League took place. With a single elimination Bracket, the eight players that made it trough duked it out for the total prize purse of ?3,000.
The final game saw Snute take on Squirtle, the protoss player wasn't suppose to play this tournament, but since Symbol could not attend due to personal reasons, Squirtle was called in to step in the zerg;s shoes and see what he can do.

The first season of the WCS Championship has ended, with 16 players from the three regions gathered in Seoul, Korea to battle for the $150,000 in cash prize.
The final game saw once again as in WCS Korea INoVation taking on yet another Woongjin Stars player, this time the protoss player sOs. The final was rather one sided as INoVation took map after map to make it [3-0].
