How does this site get its news?

eSportsPress automatically reads the RSS feeds of popular eSports websites. All new items are added to its database to keep the users up-to-date with what is happening in the world of eSports. So instead of checking all the websites, you can get a complete overview at eSportsPress.com. Next to that we offer our users the possibility to add news manually. That way you will never miss something interesting!

Which sites is eSportsPress following?

All eSports sites with a decent RSS feed! A list of feeds and detailed information about them can be found on the right side of the page. If you think that we have forgotten about a site let us know at request feed.

Can I submit news myself?

Of course! If you are logged in you have to possibility to add a link to an article to the eSportsPress database. Just go to the submit article page and fill in the form.

What are kudos and why should I give them?

You should give a kudo to an item that you find interesting to read. A crappy story should get a negative kudo. This way other users can get an idea which items should get their attention and which one shouldn′t. To make things even easier the stories with the most items submitted during the past 24 hours are displayed in the top5. This makes it even easier to find the most interesting articles of the day.

Can everybody give a kudo?

Yes, everybosy can give kudos. However if you are not logged in your vote counts as a half kudo.

How can I signup?

That′s pretty easy. Just go to the register page. It takes 10 seconds to signup!

Who coded this site?

I did all the coding myself. To make it easier for myself I used the Zend php frame work and the jQuery javascript framework.

Where did you get your icons from?

I used the open-source icons from famfamfam.com. Muchos gracias mister!

Why did you code this site?

Because I came up with this idea and wanted to see if I was able to do this all alone. I guess I succeeded :)
